Bespoke residential joinery

Objective

We were asked to convert the small storage area underneath this staircase, to realise more of the storage volume that could be made available. The items that required storage were a variety of shoe types/sizes, coats and bags.

Our Approach

We worked with our client to assess exactly how much storage we needed to allocate for each type of item and the dimensions of these items as well.

We took into consideration factors such as the existing radiator on the wall and the extent to the current flow covering and we did a site survey to talk through design options, materials and some layouts. Following this, we created a design for the client to approve and they liked our first version of this. We then took this to production and created the scheme.

The client chose a light wood decor for the inside of the cabinets and a dark blue for the exteriors (a great combination!) -This is going to be continued around the wall panelling that we also installed as an add-on to this project.

The Outcome – Bespoke commercial joinery delivered

The outcome this was a fairly substantial Understairs project and the amount of storage that we’ve realised here is humongous. There are so many spaces available for shoes of different sizes. In brackets. We particularly like the children’s shoe shelf, which fits the cutest of shoes very nicely!

We managed to utilise a lot of depth to these drawers as well as it’s in such a nice spacious hallway. 

The final paint choice looks spectacular!

Our client was delighted with the standard of finish on this project and has since invited us to look at other projects in their home.
